About The Position

This position provides preventive cleaning services for a Federal Agency, adhering to departmental policies and procedures. The Leadworker is responsible and accountable for upholding divisional and organizational RISE values and expectations. Essential competencies include being action-oriented, directing others, possessing functional/technical skills, and being a good listener.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to decipher/comprehend signs indicating danger.
• Skilled in the knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment.
• Ability to obtain security clearance to work at assigned work site.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with disabilities.

Nice To Haves

• One to two years previous custodial experience.
• Graduate of GGW's custodial training program.

Responsibilities

• Aids in the supervision of all cleaning functions in assigned buildings/areas and shifts with daily follow-up.
• Participates in all areas of custodial responsibilities.
• Performs daily physical and written inspections in the zone areas for restrooms and locker rooms.
• Relays instructions from supervisor/manager.
• Ensures that equipment and supplies are maintained in clean and working condition.
• Responsible for monitoring inventory.
