About The Position

This position is responsible for leading a team of employees in the Casegoods Finishing Department.

Requirements

• Must have experience with leading or directing the work of others
• Possess basic computer skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees and work with multiple managers.
• Able to work in a high paced environment and be self-motivated.
• Must be able to use a computer to look up orders.
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours.
• Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Must have the ability to relate well with others, to be a team player with the ability to lead.
• Responsible for all associates in assigned areas.
• Must schedule and delegate workload among employees daily.
• Assist on the line when needed in daily operations.
• Knowledge in all aspects of area.
• Ensure quality for all cases in all areas of operation.
• Must be able to fill-in a leadership role when the Supervisor is absent.
• Must be able to communicate with all levels of personnel.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor such as: Loading the line by pulling material from Whitewood Storage area to conveyor and loading in assigned order.
• Occasionally screwing down tall cases and bed frames to pallets.
• Observes plant safety rules.
• Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties.
