About The Position

A well-established, high-quality early learning program in Clarksville is expanding its leadership team and seeking a strong early childhood professional ready to lead at a high level. This is not a passive role. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in structured environments, values accountability, and is motivated to strengthen systems, support staff, and elevate program quality. In This Role, You Will: Support daily operations, staffing, and ratio management Ensure strong compliance with Tennessee DHS licensing standards Coach and support teachers to improve classroom quality and consistency Contribute to enrollment growth and overall program stability Partner closely with ownership to strengthen systems and execution We Are Looking For Someone Who: Meets Tennessee Director qualifications Has leadership experience in a licensed child care setting Is organized, proactive, and solutions-focused Communicates clearly and holds high standards Can balance compliance, people leadership, and operations This Is Not the Right Fit If You: Prefer low-accountability environments Struggle with managing staff performance or difficult conversations Are not detail-oriented with licensing and compliance Are looking for a low-structure or low-expectation role

Requirements

  • Meets Tennessee Director qualifications
  • Has leadership experience in a licensed child care setting
  • Is organized, proactive, and solutions-focused
  • Communicates clearly and holds high standards
  • Can balance compliance, people leadership, and operations
  • Bachelor’s, Associate’s, or CDA with required experience (per TN DHS)
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Strong knowledge of licensing rules
