About The Position

The Wraparound Lead Coach provides day-to-day skill development for Wraparound Supervisors/Coaches and Facilitators. This role provides leadership, coaching, and oversight to ensure high-fidelity implementation of the Wraparound model for children and youth with serious emotional and behavioral needs. The Wraparound Lead Coach supports and develops Wraparound staff through training, field-based coaching, and performance monitoring while ensuring compliance with Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) Medicaid requirements, Magellan standards, and VOASCLA policies. This position reports to the Wraparound Program Director.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from accredited university or college in human services, social or behavioral science required.
  • Three (3+) years of experience in the human services field required, preferably with different systems, including school, behavioral health, child welfare, juvenile justice, health, and delinquency population.
  • Maintain a valid Louisiana driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience providing coaching, training or supervision preferred.
  • Experience with wraparound services, Medicaid-funded programs, or behavioral health systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to wraparound staff to support fidelity to the wraparound model.
  • Coach wraparound facilitators in core wraparound competencies.
  • Create training plans to assist with performance enhancement.
  • Conduct individual and group coaching sessions, case consultations, and field observations.
  • Use wraparound fidelity tools to guide coaching and quality improvement efforts.
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff on wraparound philosophy, documentation standards, and Medicaid requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership on performance management, professional development, and corrective action plans.
  • Participate in internal audits, LDH or Magellan reviews/audits and quality assurance.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to address documentation or service delivery deficiencies.
  • Participate in staff meetings, interagency collaboration, state trainings.
  • Assist with development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives.
  • Support program leadership in maintaining compliance, service quality, and positive youth and family outcomes.
  • Serve as a subject-matter resource for Wraparound best practices.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to staff on managing high-risk situations and crisis planning.
  • Support staff in effective collaboration with families, schools, child welfare, juvenile justice, and other child-serving systems.
  • Maintain confidentiality as it pertains to all aspects of clients’ care, staff, and Volunteers of America.
  • Participate in training and development activities as required.
  • Report any acts, incidents or conditions that reflect the possibility of inappropriate participant-to-participant or staff-to-participant relationships.
  • Report any use of physical force and all unusual incidents per VOASCLA policy and state guidelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain CANS certification.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
