Hours: 2nd Shift 2:00pm - 10:00pm Pay: $22.24 + $2.00 Shift differential + $2.00 Lead differential = $26.24 What Will You Do? In order to grow and build a successful career with Exmark, you will be responsible for: Assists supervisor with training of new employees, including reading and interpreting Exmark blueprints, clean up and care of weld equipment and weld booth, and in use of jigs and weld fixtures and welding methods. Carries out a first-piece inspection at the beginning of and midway through the shift. Assists welders with questions regarding weld equipment. Periodically checks for quality (splatter, porosity, etc.) as directed by supervisor. Helps out wherever needed to keep things moving. Substitutes for absent employees in a work cell or booth. May be required to do this during a full shift. Assists and fills-in for the supervisor as needed. Actively looks for opportunities to improve methods, material flow, safety and the work environment. May be required to help out in other areas or departments needed to keep the value stream moving.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have a minimum of 12 months' welding experience at Exmark and have reached Level 4 status.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, production work orders and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to complete paperwork.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
