About The Position

Arcosa Wind Towers is looking for a Lead Welder on Day Shift . In this position you will provide training, guidance and direction to assigned employees in an efficient, clean, safe and cost-effective manner in order to achieve the goals and key performance metrics in line with the organization's objectives. Location: Tulsa, OK 74116 Safety Sensitive: Yes What you’ll do:

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
2+ years experience in the training of production welding operators
4+ years of production welding experience
Experience operating the following welding processes GMAW FCAW GTAW (Tulsa only) SAW
Ability to pass welding qualification for the above-listed process within 4 weeks
Understanding of the following NDT processes: VT, UT, MT, and PT
Direct application of AWS (and ASME Section IV codes for Tulsa only) code welding preferred
Read Tape Measure
Visual Inspection
Blueprint Reading
Maintenance on Welding Equipment
Ability to provide clear, explicit verbal directions and create a positive learning environment
The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required

Nice To Haves

Formal weld training from an accredited school preferred
Robotic or hard automation welding system experience preferred

Responsibilities

Conducting audits of welding operators and process best practice safety for welding
The troubleshooting of welding process and equipment related issues
Reading and understand all Weld Procedure Specifications and customer welding requirements
Visually analyze welds to determine welder training needs
Help with training of new welders
Completing the required documentation and records as required
Proficiently perform flat welding
Proficiently operate torch
Lay-out and mark weld points
Comply with all safety rules and procedures
May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned
