The Lead Warehouse Associate will provide timely, efficient loading, unloading, of material, movement of bales, consistent organization of the department, meet assigned production goals, and provide training, coaching and mentoring to warehouse associates in their assigned areas. Job Description Essential Functions Assist in directing the daily activities of employees in assigned department as established and instructed by supervisor/manager. Assist in training to new and other employees as needed. Assist and report productivity of each employee, provide feedback on temporary employees, and new employees. Communicate any problems or needs of employees to the supervisor/manager. Assist in ensuring production goals are met. Assist in assigning work so as to best utilize each person's skills and prepare them for positions in competitive industry. Providing encouragement and enthusiasm to employees in an effort to increase their production output. Follow emergency and safety procedures as outlined in Goodwill's policies. Maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Loading and unloading all materials that requires the use of the tow motor and other material handling equipment. Checking the proper stacking, wrapping, and banding of any materials on skids to ensure its safe transportation. Ensuring safe operation of material handling equipment. Checking incoming freight for quantity, quality, and ensuring that regulations are met. Inspecting tow motor engine oil level and other fluid levels daily to ensure proper engine performance. Weekly cleaning of Tow Motor especially dust from the radiator. Be knowledgeable of and follow company policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements, at all times. Regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy. Other duties as assigned by management.
