Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Minimum 2 years of previous CH Robinson warehouse operations experience
  • Possess good physical stamina and coordination
  • Could be required to stand and/or walk for long periods daily while frequently bending, twisting, reaching, and periodically lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Certified forklift operator
  • Applicants in a warehouse role must complete a pre-employment drug screen as part of a conditional job offer
  • Ability to work 2nd shift

Responsibilities

  • Support warehouse supervisory team in adhering to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure their implementation
  • Assist warehouse team in utilizing Warehouse Management System (WMS), including training and troubleshooting, to maintain efficient warehouse organization
  • Receive goods from customers and suppliers by offloading and loading vehicles, checking paperwork, weighing, measuring, and reporting discrepancies or damages
  • Operate stand-up, sit-down forklifts, and hand jacks for palletization, stretch wrapping, and banding of cargo
  • Load and unload trailers/ocean containers in a professional and damage-free manner
  • Prepare outbound loads by matching paperwork, labeling, and handling Unit Load Device (ULD) preparation
  • Sign off Bills of Lading accurately, verifying counts and damages
  • Stage cargo within the warehouse safely and orderly
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization standards through general housekeeping
  • Ensure quality standards are met according to standard operating procedures (SOP) or customer requirements, including reworking or recouping freight
  • Contribute to the development of new SOPs related to new business, products, or process changes
  • Regular duties include cross-functional areas such as receiving, loading, picking, shipping, etc.
  • Completion of weekly bond checks
  • Execute Dock-to-Stock procedures and regulations at all times, maintaining building perimeter security and challenging anything or anyone untoward
  • Handle bonded import freight into the External Temporary Storage (ERTS) facility in accordance with regulations and breakdown of inbound ULD’s as required
