We are currently seeking a Lead Veterinary Technician to join our team. This leadership role requires someone experienced, proactive, and ready to help guide and support our technical team. A current RVT license (or equivalent) is highly preferred, and prior leadership experience is a plus. While cross-training is not required, it is preferred to support a flexible and well-rounded team. The Lead Veterinary Technician will help oversee clinical operations, assist in training and mentoring staff, and work closely with veterinarians to deliver excellent patient care and efficient workflow.

Requirements

  • Licensed as an RVT (or equivalent credential – CVT/LVT), highly preferred
  • Proven experience in a clinical veterinary setting, ideally with leadership responsibilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-centered environment
  • Strong technical and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable handling pets of all sizes and temperaments

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgeries
  • Mentor and support fellow technicians and assistants
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, dental cleanings, and monitor anesthesia
  • Obtain and interpret radiographs and conduct basic lab tests
  • Monitor patients post-surgery and provide emergency support as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized treatment areas and exam rooms
  • Prepare surgical patients and assist with sterile procedures
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members
