Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair a diverse fleet of mountain operation vehicles and equipment. This includes Pisten Bully snowcats, snowmobiles, heavy equipment, trucks, utility vehicles, and small engine tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing gas and diesel engines, electrical systems, drive trains, and hydraulic components. Work is performed in a fast-paced, outdoor environment with a focus on preventative maintenance, safety, and reliability. This position requires hands-on mechanical skills, strong communication, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 4 years vehicle maintenance experience specific to the types of vehicles in our fleet
  • Must have own tools and be willing to purchase more as necessary
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Must Have or obtain a valid driver’s license / clean DMV record.
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds regularly
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions (primary shop is on-mountain and work is often outdoors)
  • Must be able to work holidays and weekends
  • Must have high school degree or equivalent
  • Must be able to communicate clearly in English
  • Follow all shop safety practices and dress code.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment to hit our goals and expectations.
  • Communicate with department heads and employees regarding equipment problems and repairs
  • Document all work done and parts on work orders

Nice To Haves

  • Small engine repair experience is a benefit.
  • Able to diagnosis and repair electrical and computer systems problems on modern vehicles
  • Able to diagnosis and repair major mechanical systems on modern vehicles
