As Traffic Safety Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for the oversight of assigned projects including but not limited to budget, purchases and inventory. You will also develop, prepare and deliver special reports and presentations as well as perform analysis and recommend program guidelines, policies and procedures. This position administers state and federal transportation funded programs in a division or metropolitan district. Oversees contracts/grants/projects/programs/lettings to include: application, approval, procurement, payments, monitoring, audits, investigations, and close-out. Serves as a lead worker. Work requires contact with governmental agencies and special interest groups. Employees at this level establish their own work plan and priorities to meet set objectives. Issues are rarely referred to the supervisor but are handled at the occurrence.
