SUMMARY The Lead Thermal Analysis Engineer is responsible for developing and analyzing thermal models of spacecraft components and systems using tools like SINDA/FLUINT and Thermal Desktop. This role involves designing thermal control solutions for station subsystems and assemblies, selecting appropriate thermal materials, and assessing environmental impacts from space conditions. The engineer will validate models with test data, ensure compliance with NASA standards, and document technical findings. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and participation in design reviews are essential, along with providing regular project updates to stakeholders.
