For more information, please visit www.SWHtemeculavalley.com The Temecula Valley Hospital Lead Cardiac Cath Lab Tech is responsible for supervising clinical, technical, and non-technical staff to assure efficient and quality patient care. The Lead will be responsible for coordinating and integrating interdepartmental services. The Lead Technician maintains departmental schedules, including all ACU and cardiovascular labs, fixed hours and on call, including coordinating after hour cases. The Lead Technician will be expected to work as a Cath Lab Technician and also cover for absent employees and/or the Director of Cardiovascular Services.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the Cardiovascular Department operations
  • Ability to work independently and handle stress appropriately
  • Ability to work collaboratively with hospital and radiology staff
  • Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency requests
  • Foster a team environment by providing orientation and training to new team members, sets goals
  • Ability to manage a diverse workforce
  • Ability to keep accurate records
  • Ability to follow physician's orders
  • Provides current Imaging Department policies
  • Effective supervision and teaching skills
  • Knowledge of current advances in related technologies
  • Possesses strong oral, written, and communication skills
  • Effective problem solving process and its application in the clinical setting
  • Strong knowledge of the variety of procedures performed in the department, and Title 17 licensing rules and regulations required
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a cardiovascular department that performs a variety of procedures
  • Graduate from a cardiovascular technology (CVT) or Radiologic technology (RT) certified school of discipline
  • Associates Degree required
  • Active California Radiology Technologist (CRT) license along with fluoro license and active American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) license required; OR, RCIS/RCES
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required
