The Lead Technical Product Manager will set technical product vision, translate customer and business needs into clear roadmaps, and partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, UX, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software outcomes. This role will own the product from concept and funding through development, launch, and end-of-life. This role defines product vision and strategy by deeply understanding customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscape, and translates that vision into executable roadmaps that drive revenue, margin, and customer value.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience delivering software products (platforms, APIs, or complex internal systems preferred)
  • Strong technical fluency: able to collaborate deeply with Engineers/Architects and make informed trade-offs
  • Proven ability to own a product domain and drive strategy, roadmap, and execution with minimal oversight
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams or product lines
  • Expertise writing high-quality epics/features/user stories and defining measurable outcomes (KPIs/OKRs)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, including influencing senior leaders and aligning competing priorities
  • Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and backlog management in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • MS/MA in Computer Science (or similar) preferred; relevant certifications a plus/required in some areas

Responsibilities

  • Define and document product requirements: Create clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that establish scope and expectations for the product lifecycle.
  • Guide prioritization and trade-off decisions: Lead the prioritization of features, manage trade-offs, and drive execution across all stages of product development.
  • Build business cases and submit funding requests: Develop compelling business cases, secure necessary funding, and maintain detailed product roadmaps and documentation.
  • Act as the voice of the customer: Champion strong usability, reliability, and ensure alignment with business objectives throughout product design and delivery.
  • Participate in Agile rituals: Actively engage in PI planning, backlog refinement, and serve as subject matter expert for assigned products or platforms.
  • Lead and mentor: Operate with minimal oversight, lead high-impact initiatives, influence senior and executive leadership, and mentor other product managers.
