About The Position

Lead Teachers are responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care. Lead teachers are also responsible for assuring compliance with State Licensing requirements.

Requirements

CDA or degree in child-related field.
A profound respect for children and the natural environment.
A positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and commitment to learning.

5+ years of center experience.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement weekly curriculum that nurtures and stimulates all domains of child development using Creative Curriculum.
Address the individual needs of each child.
Perform on-going assessments of each child’s learning and development using Teaching Strategies in order to gauge their needs and prepare developmental progress reports as needed.
Maintain on-going, open communication with parents.
Provide a developmentally inspiring physical environment and maintain its cleanliness and organization throughout the day.
Utilize the outdoor environment as much as weather permits for both learning and free play.
Maintain positive, patient interactions with the children at all times.
Participate in professional development trainings as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
A gentle, calm manner with children.
Lead colleagues with positivity and effective communication.
