About The Position

Our preschool is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of young children.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with young children in a preschool setting
Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff
Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Must pass a background check and meet all state licensing requirements

Responsibilities

Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all children in the classroom
Create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes learning and exploration
Establish positive relationships with children, families, and staff
Conduct ongoing assessments of children's development and use the information to plan and adjust curriculum
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development
Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress and development
Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and volunteers
Attend and participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events as required
