About The Position

Leidos is seeking a Lead Systems Integration and Test Engineer to join a dynamic team working on En-Route Automation Modernization (ERAM), a critical component of the Next Generation Air Transportation System and the National Airspace System. This role is fundamental to NexGen functions. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline with 4+ years of professional experience; or a master’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline; for example, engineering, computer science
  • Ability to obtain an SF-85P Public Trust clearance from the FAA customer
  • Candidates must be US Citizens
  • Experience leading and directing activities of a team
  • Experience in following a documented Integration and Test Development Process
  • Experience in systems engineering, software engineering, test engineering, artificial intelligence, and machine learning
  • Experience in the use of UNIX and Linux operating systems
  • Strong integration skills with hands-on experience integrating large software complex systems
  • Strong communication skills to interface with internal and external customers

  • Analyzing identified issues and helping to determine a solution with System Engineering and Software Engineering

  • A good academic understanding and/or exposure to system engineering practices to contribute to and/or assist with system integration, requirements engineering, operational and decision analysis, systems definition, requirements baseline control and management.
  • Highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to fast-paced and highly productive work environment
  • Air Traffic Knowledge and experience working on Air Traffic programs
  • Experience with conducting formal tests with a government agency / customer ATMC

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to verify software functionality, performance, and compliance with requirements.
  • Design and develop scenarios for use in PR/CR Verification and Regression Tests
  • Collaborate with developers, system engineers, and schedulers to ensure testability of requirements and alignment with project timelines.
  • Track and report test execution status, generating detailed test reports and artifact packages for stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as HP ALM, Selenium, or equivalent.
