About The Position

The Lead, Systems Engineer (SE) performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and troubleshooting for total systems and or subsystems. This Systems Engineer is part of a team that help lead the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne communication platforms.

Requirements

Requires Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience, or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
Requires active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance, which requires US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

Prior military service is highly desirable
Experience in Network and Systems Support/Installation, Cisco/Brocade/Dell IOS, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP is highly desirable
Experience with LAN/WAN routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) is highly desirable
Experience with network packet inspection tools (WireShark, TCPDump) is highly desirable
Experience with Linux is highly desirable
Experience with multicast routing is highly desirable
Knowledge of MPLS and VPNs is highly desirable
Experience with HAIPE devices is desired

Responsibilities

Lead a diversely skilled engineering team in the design, implementation, and testing of WAN/LAN/SATCOM-based networks systems
Translate customer system requirements into DOORS/Jira and lead Proposal efforts
Must work on the facility with some limited flexibility
Business travel equates to approx 5% of man-year
