About The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects, collaborate with top-tier customers, and make a significant impact in the field. The Lead Project Engineer will closely partner with Product Line Management and Program Managers throughout all stages of product development, including initial concept design, development, integration, qualification testing, and production release. Additionally, they will serve as the main technical interface for customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering and minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • 3 Years of experience leading and interfacing with teams of multiple disciplines utilizing systems engineering tools and resources
  • Eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in board and system-level troubleshooting, including root cause analysis and corrective action reporting.
  • Proficient in understanding schematics, evaluating CCA layout and routing, and interpreting component data sheets.
  • Knowledgeable in understanding and applying various test methodologies.
  • Experience using PLM tools such as Teamcenter (change orders, part releases, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Closely partners with Product Manager and Program Managers throughout all stages of product development and release to production
  • Assist in developing detailed program plans including schedules, resource forecasts, and risk assessments.
  • Lead all technical aspects of a project to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Coordinate and review work done by various teams, including engineers, technicians, manufacturing, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Proactively identify and remove roadblocks (internally across the organization and externally) to help the team progress in their development.
  • Address any technical gaps in the project team by providing the necessary expertise or facilitating discussions with subject matter experts.
  • Maintain effective communication between the development team and stakeholders.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, including interface control documents, operation/maintenance guides, test plans, schematics, and system diagrams.
  • Participate in technical feasibility decisions.
  • Assist with hands-on integration, test, and debug as necessary with project teams in a lab environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
