About The Position

Support Student Life by providing peer-to-peer leadership for Student Life Ambassadors as they work to build student engagement at Johnson County Community College (JCCC) to foster student development and retention.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma and 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be enrolled as a current Johnson County Community College (JCCC) credit student.
  • Requires basic skill set and proficiency.
  • Conducts work assignments as directed.
  • Closely supervised with little latitude for independent judgment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist area supervisor in the creation and maintenance of work schedules assigning tasks.
  • Contribute to the Student Life Ambassador's professional development and training.
  • Provide guidance and leadership on event and programming planning and facilitation.
  • Provide customer service, referrals to resources, and check students in and out of Student Life spaces.
  • Produce and issue Student IDs.
  • Answer College phone switchboard.
  • Disseminate Student Life information to the campus via email, social media, and print and digital marketing.
  • Greet vendors, visitors, and students in a friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
  • Other duties as assigned.
