About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) professional to lead EHS efforts and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company standards. This individual will serve as the primary EHS contact for the site, reporting directly to the GLO EHS Leader, while also maintaining a dotted-line partnership with the Lynn Campus EHS Leader to support broader campus initiatives. The role requires someone self-sufficient, proactive, and able to escalate issues when needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years (environmental/health safety) experience + minimum of 3 years (environmental/health safety) experience
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine EHS audits on the shop floor to ensure compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and control workplace health and safety hazards.
  • Lead injury and illness tracking, case management, and root cause analysis.
  • Independently plan and execute safety initiatives while escalating concerns or risks in a timely manner.
  • Evaluate logistics areas annually, rating assigned areas against GE Aerospace EHS standards and requirements.
  • Maintain EHS procedures in alignment with federal and state regulations, and GE Aerospace requirements.
  • Serve as a trusted EHS resource, providing guidance to employees and leadership while knowing when to seek input or additional support.
  • Strong skills with ergonomics and "teaching" attitude.
