THE ROLE: Responsible for managing assigned commodities and developing a global procurement strategy; implementing a supplier development program that has an integrated long-term approach on cost, quality, and service. Responsible for developing and managing the strategic supplier relationship. May provide analytical support and make recommendations regarding sourcing strategies, requirements planning, and revenue generation. Manage cross-functional and cross site business processes to support operational (PO) process execution. THE PERSON: Work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for acquiring results. Network with key contacts outside own area of expertise.
