About The Position

The Manager, U.S. Kitchen Equipment Supply Chain is responsible for leading a portfolio of kitchen equipment categories, suppliers, and strategic initiatives that enable McDonald’s U.S. restaurants to operate reliably, efficiently, and profitably. This role plays a critical leadership position in shaping the future U.S. kitchen equipment ecosystem — from equipment strategy and supplier performance to service, lifecycle management, and reinvestment planning. The role balances day‑to‑day equipment execution with transformational initiatives, partnering across Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Technology, Marketing, Finance, Safety, and Owner/Operators to ensure assured supply, strong performance, and long‑term system readiness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in supply chain, equipment operations, engineering, sourcing, or related roles.
  • Experience managing suppliers, complex stakeholders, and ambiguous business challenges.
  • Strong business judgment with the ability to balance near‑term execution and long‑term strategy.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including project leadership and people development.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence across all three legs of the system (corporate, suppliers, Owner/Operators).

Responsibilities

  • Own U.S. equipment strategies across assigned categories, ensuring alignment to business growth priorities, operational needs, and long‑term reinvestment plans.
  • Lead deployment of new and replacement equipment, including field testing, market rollouts, and national implementations.
  • Assess equipment feasibility and readiness for new menu, beverage, and operational initiatives; provide go/no‑go recommendations to leadership.
  • Drive standardization, simplification, and multi‑sourcing strategies to improve resilience and reduce risk.
  • Serve as the primary supply chain owner for assigned OEM and service suppliers, holding them accountable to performance, quality, cost, and service standards.
  • Lead supplier governance, performance reviews, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Strategic Sourcing on pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and long‑term supplier roadmaps.
  • Identify supplier risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect restaurant operations and brand standards.
  • Partner with Technology and cross‑functional teams to support development of a connected equipment ecosystem, including asset visibility, service analytics, and lifecycle insights.
  • Support service network performance through KPI development, issue resolution, and escalation management.
  • Contribute to service integrator and technician enablement initiatives that improve equipment uptime and operator experience.
  • Use data and insights to inform reinvestment timing, warranty strategies, and total cost of ownership.
  • Support Owner/Operator engagement, escalations, and communications related to equipment performance and reinvestment.
  • Represent U.S. Equipment in enterprise forums, workstreams, supplier summits, and system meetings.
  • Mentor and develop supervisors and analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement
