About The Position

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Lead Sorter at our Prince George's County MRF located in Capitol Heights, MD. This role serves as lead sorter on sorting lines at our materials recycling facility providing guidance, oversight, and training to MES and contractual employees. Ensures the successful sorting and segregation of recyclable items including aluminum, plastic, paper, cardboard, and steel. Provides feedback to supervisory personnel to ensure that work conforms to product and facility specifications.

Requirements

• Graduation from a standard high school or possession of a GED equivalency certificate, and one year of experience in environmental services, waste management, or a related field.
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Any offer of employment will be contingent upon successfully completing required pre-employment screens, to include full background check, drug & alcohol screening, and position appropriate physical.

Responsibilities

• Serves as lead sorter on sorting lines
