Requirements

  • Experience in software engineering, including design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise applications with high-quality results
  • Experience with cloud architecture and engineering, including Git version control, component library usage, and performance optimization
  • Experience writing clear documentation, including tests and test cases
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot) to improve results
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment, with good communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to create sustainable and resilient solutions that deliver results, mentor engineers, and drive product quality and innovation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrates initiative in learning new technologies and contributing to team knowledge through code reviews and collaboration sessions.
  • Ability to work independently and apply initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with customer-facing web applications is positive.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in insurance, financial services, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with executive-level reporting, data visualization, and workflow automation.
  • Experience building and maintaining data pipelines and APIs that support multiple consumers, including AI/ML solutions - especially LLMs and agentic workflows.
  • Experience with open-source contributions or technical community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Integrate APIs: Build and maintain robust APIs and web services (FastAPI, PainlessAPIs, REST, etc.) connecting to internal and external systems (e.g., User, HR, Vendor, Ticketing, other analytics tools).
  • Engineer Advanced Analytics: Build and implement data and analytics pipelines for business intelligence/trend analysis, forecasting, executive dashboards, and GenAI applications.
  • Use Full Stack Development Skills: Build and maintain a custom, enterprise-grade web application and supporting services, utilizing open-source technologies and AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Champion Security and Data Privacy: Apply secure coding best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards for sensitive executive and enterprise data.
  • Foster Agile & DevOps Excellence: Participate in Agile ceremonies, drive CI/CD automation, implement DevSecOps and observability practices, and take ownership of products throughout their lifecycle.
  • Enhance User Experience: Advocate for and design with UX principles to provide intuitive, accessible experiences for senior leaders across web and mobile (including Teams integration).
  • Drive Technical Documentation: Author and maintain product documentation, contribute to internal knowledge bases, and participate in open-source and internal technical communities.
  • Mentor and Collaborate: Provide technical leadership, mentoring, code reviews, and guidance to other engineers; foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.

  • Potential starting salary range: $115,000 - $137,500
  • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
