About The Position

Wells Fargo is back in the office collaborating for fabulous outcomes! Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead enterprise-scale technology initiatives, define engineering standards, and deliver secure, resilient solutions for mission-critical systems. This role requires deep technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to influence technology strategy across the organization. This role is a hybrid position and in the office three day a week. There is no Visa sponsorship or transfer for this role. In this role, you will: Lead complex, companywide technology initiatives with broad impact. Define and implement engineering best practices for large-scale systems. Design, develop, and optimize enterprise applications and platforms. Drive security, resilience, and observability strategies across systems. Collaborate with senior technical leaders and mentor peers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years working with enterprise platforms (cloud or on-prem).
  • 3+ years Unix/Linux systems administration and scripting experience.
  • 3+ years implementing observability solutions for large-scale systems.
  • 3+ years designing resilience and failover strategies.

Nice To Haves

  • Expertise in Python for enterprise-scale applications.
  • Experience designing distributed, high-volume systems.
  • Strong knowledge of security frameworks and SecOps practices.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, containerization, and performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines.
