Job Summary FreeWheel is looking for passionate Software Engineers to help design, build and support our high-quality, innovative video advertising platform. FreeWheel helps the television industry to monetize their premium contents through a robust technology platform, which enables consumers to view high quality videos on any devices including PC, smart phone, OTT device, set-top box and traditional TV. FreeWheel’s New York Engineering Hub is a core part of our global engineering group that is building the one-stop solution for TV industry to manage its billion-dollar revenue. Our tech platform is capable of handling billions of daily requests, processing terabytes of raw daily data, and optimizing clients’ business. Job Description Core Responsibilities:

Requirements

Abundant experience with C/C++, DB design, and network programming
Abundant experience with large system software design and development.
Abundant experience with distributed systems and mission-critical systems.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and align engineering efforts with business objectives
Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving and technical innovation.
Strong passion for learning/practicing new techniques.
Ability to work closely with global teams and accept additional working time besides normal working hours to meet or co-work with global teams.
Bachelor ‘s Degree or above.
At least 8 years of relevant work experience

Responsibilities

Leading the development and implementation of innovative software and web applications, ensuring they align with business objectives and user requirements
Integrating new systems seamlessly with existing infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and continuous performance improvement
Mentoring team members and providing technical training, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge sharing and professional growth
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful application integration, advocating for best practices in software development
Participating in or leading peer programming sessions, design sprints, or prototyping sessions
Driving the creation, maintenance, and accessibility of comprehensive documentation for all development activities
Monitoring application performance metrics rigorously, utilizing data to guide enhancements and ensure delivery aligns with project goals
Providing expert technical advice and support to internal stakeholders and external partners, effectively communicating complex concepts
Collaborating with the Quality Assurance team to confirm applications meet rigorous testing standards and fulfil technical requirements
