You will drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, applying deep technical expertise and problem-solving skills to address a diverse array of challenges across multiple technologies and applications.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, with expertise in Java 8+ distributed application development, REST, microservices, and Spring Boot
  • Experience in modern SDLC practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment
  • Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Experience working on multi-threaded, high-throughput, mission-critical, high-performance platforms
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security
  • Experience with cloud-native application development (e.g., AWS, GCP, private cloud, etc.)
  • Experience with data security and encryption in an enterprise setting

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with build automation using Maven
  • Experience configuring Continuous Integration in Jenkins
  • Experience developing open-source libraries or internal libraries that are integrated into applications by other internal teams

Responsibilities

  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure, high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and adoption of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Contributes to a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
