As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll lead a small team (2–3 engineers) on projects central to Triumph’s strategic goals. You’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, and fellow Engineers to build and maintain custom systems that drive our business forward.

  • Lead design and development of custom software solutions from concept to deployment.
  • Collaborate across the full product lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, and iteration.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure solutions are impactful, cost-efficient, and reliable in production.
  • Identify risks in code and requirements, proactively offering solutions and tradeoffs.
  • Lead code reviews, ensure quality standards, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Manage timelines, track progress via Kanban, and communicate updates effectively.
  • Support and mentor fellow engineers, fostering growth and sharing technical knowledge.
  • 5+ years of professional application development experience.
  • Strong preference for Java and full-stack development experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering projects and mentoring developers.
  • Proven ability to understand business needs and deliver technical and non-technical solutions.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and iterative delivery.
  • Experience leading an engineering team or running a consulting practice.
  • Familiarity with functional programming languages (Elm, Haskell, OCaml, Elixir).
  • Previous work in the logistics or supply chain domain.
