This is a non-exempt position reporting to the Billing Manger

Responsibilities

• Provide back up to Billing Manager
• Conducts training and orientation for new hires to billing department.
• Assists with onboarding of new clients
• Helps resolve billing issues that arise in department.
• May be called upon to assist with billing functions of the billing department:
• Provide back up for billing specialist when out on leave
• Analyze accounts receivable reports to ensure timely collections.
• Maintain payer portal access for department staff.
• Helps set up of new software and maintain software modules.
• Insurance set ups
• DDE access
• Software access
• Update yearly case mix rates, fee schedules and Payer rates as needed.
• Billing Department contact for Credit Balance Reports
• Finalize the month-end close process and provide the reporting by the deadline
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
