The Lead Shipping individual is expected to be a role model, foster teamwork, enhance team morale, conduct on-the-job training, provide constructive feedback, and continuously seek operational improvements. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment and achieving certifications for operating necessary equipment, performing safety checks, reporting machine problems, and charging industrial truck batteries are also part of the role. The employee is also expected to be willing to be cross-trained as a lead in other departments and participate in safety and health program activities.
