Job Summary Responsible for leading activities of shipping and receiving department to ensure orders are prepared for shipment and shipped orders are received.
Requirements
- Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior level associates.
- Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.
- Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior level associates.
- Generally 7+ years of experience in area of responsibility.
Nice To Haves
- Forklift Standard Certificate preferred.
Responsibilities
- Reviews paperwork for incoming merchandise and customer orders in order to distribute work activities to team.
- Loads/unloads material onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand.
- Prepares inventory for shipment. Properly bands and shrink wraps pallets and attaches shipping labels.
- Processes shipping orders using computerized shipping system and monitors order pick report.
- Loads and unloads trucks and ensures trucks are loaded by Shippers.
- Maintains warehouse inventory on racks in a neat and orderly manner.
- Trains Shippers/Receivers as assigned.
- Tracks shipping errors.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
