In this role, you’ll serve as a key operational partner to our engineering teams by overseeing water line/plumbing installation, inspecting and signing off on work, coordinating the administrative processes, managing project documentation and supporting the successful delivery of projects. What you’ll do As a Lead Service Line Specialist, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the field execution and administrative coordination of water service line and infrastructure projects. This position combines technical field oversight, compliance verification and coordination to ensure work is completed safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience in technical plumbing installation, project support and inspection of plumbing.
  • Be a Licensed Plumber in Illinois (required).
  • Have experience with water service line installation, plumbing systems or utility infrastructure projects.
  • Perform field inspections and verify compliance with applicable plumbing codes and project specifications.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Be detail-oriented with strong documentation and record management skills.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be comfortable coordinating across multiple teams and project managers.
  • Demonstrate a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office and common business software platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Providing field oversight for water service line and plumbing installations, ensuring subcontractor work aligns with project plans, specifications and applicable codes.
  • Inspecting installed service lines and plumbing systems to verify quality, accuracy and compliance with Illinois plumbing regulations.
  • Signing off on completed installations as a licensed plumbing professional once work meets standards.
  • Coordinating closely with contractors, engineers and project managers to resolve field issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Helping engineering and project management teams with project documentation, reporting and field records.
  • Supporting the preparation of statements of qualifications, proposals and project-related documentation.
  • Maintaining organized project files, records and documentation following company standards.
  • Tracking project activities, field observations and inspections to support successful delivery.
  • Communicating effectively with internal teams, contractors and clients regarding field conditions, project progress and compliance requirements.
  • Contributing to quality control efforts to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
