About The Position

Incumbent in this position is responsible for conducting gaming and non-gaming investigations to protect the interests of The Mohegan Tribe and the integrity of gaming and non-gaming operations. The individual serves as a lead investigative resource, providing direction and subject matter expertise, coordinating with internal departments and external agencies, and ensuring all investigative activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory, legal, and Tribal standards.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated knowledge of casino operations and gaming regulations.
  • Working knowledge of the Mohegan Tribal Gaming Compact.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in investigative methods, interviewing techniques, and evidence evaluation.
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills with the ability to make sound, objective decisions.
  • Proven ability to write background investigative reports as they relate to business and organizations.
  • Knowledge of various means or scams especially as they relate to gaming and non-gaming operations that could be detrimental to the interests of The Mohegan Tribe and Mohegan and its subsidiaries.
  • Bachelor’s degree and Five (5) years’ experience in an investigative field, requiring interviewing, evidence evaluation and report writing (i.e., law enforcement, private investigations, casino investigations, state/tribal gaming regulatory agencies)
  • Associate’s degree and Seven (7) years’ work experience in a field requiring investigations, interviewing and report writing (i.e., law enforcement, private investigations, casino investigations, state/tribal gaming regulatory agencies)
  • High school diploma and Nine (9) years’ work experience in a field requiring investigations, interviewing and report writing (i.e., law enforcement, private investigations, casino investigations, state/tribal gaming regulatory agencies)
  • Two (2) years of experience serving in a leadership capacity, providing direction and expertise to employees
  • No felony convictions or misdemeanors involving moral turpitude or issues of integrity.
