Vituity Locations: Vituity has opportunities at 890 practices across the country, serving 14.5 million patients a year. As part of the Vituity Scribe Program, there are multiple opportunities to fit your needs, including gaining experience in units such as the Emergency Department, Intensivist Care, Telemetry and Medical-Surgical. The Opportunity Support the onsite Scribe Program Manager in training new scribes. Create the onsite training schedule in coordination with Site Scribe Program Manager. Contact newly hired scribes via email and phone to coordinate training schedule. Conduct didactic training, including medical terminology, EMR documentation, and History of Present Illness (HPI) writing tutorials and scenarios. Administer competency exams to new hires for certification and to determine advancement into the clinical practice phase. Facilitate clinical practice shifts for each scribe and assist in completion of an orientation checklist to determine that the new hire is competent to perform all duties required as a scribe on their own. Conduct refresher floor training sessions. Re-train scribes when feedback/emails are less than satisfactory. Be a resource for training questions or concerns. Collect all the scheduling preferences for each month. Use these preferences to complete the monthly schedule. Serve as main contact when a scribe has a last-minute scheduling conflict. Assist Site Program Manager in regulating proper hours in accordance with each scribe’s status (PD, LPT, PT, or FT). Regularly report to the Site Program Manager regarding performance problems and/or successes of the scribes. Coordinate monthly/quarterly meetings with scribe team. Help communicate employee changes to central office such as status changes and separations. Participate in quarterly Scribe Program calls. Participate in quarterly Lead Scribe group hangout calls. Participate in routine touch base calls with central Scribe Team. Remind scribes when timecards are due. Review timecards for accuracy. Assist in counseling by working with HR and Scribe Program Manager in creating performance improvement plans as necessary. Assist in separations by working with HR, scribe and payroll to complete final timecard before last day worked. Work with central Recruiter and Site Program Manager in scheduling in-person interviews for new scribes. Help ensure new hires have completed all on-boarding requirements such as Vituity compliance training, certification training, and hospital HR and IT requirements. Order uniforms for scribes. Conduct shift evaluations per site requirements. Assist with 90-day and annual performance evaluations. Audit scribe charts per Vituity and Joint Commission requirements. Complete the Lead Scribe Monthly Report (LSMR). Ensure all scribes on roster are within compliance by the deadlines set by company annually. Ensure all Joint Commission requirements for all scribes are up to date in binder and kept on site.
