We are seeking a Lead Room Sales Agent (remote) to join our team. As a key member of the Eau Resort & Spa team, you will play an essential role in delivering exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort. The Lead Room Sales Agent is responsible for effective coordination of booking room reservations, while ensuring the quality and service standards are always upheld. Additional responsibilities include assisting Travel Agents when assistance is needed, ensuring consistent delivery of exceptional 5-Star service, and maximizing the hotel's revenue. This will be accomplished through reaching personal and team goals for booking transient revenue, increased conversion rates, decreased call abandonment, etc. The Lead Room Sales Agent will also be responsible for acting as Manager on Duty in the Room Sales Manager's absence. The ideal candidate must be supportive and understanding of all departments to always ensure guest satisfaction, while exemplifying the philosophy and mission of Eau Resort & Spa. We have a full-time position available.  This is a REMOTE [with exceptions] position with flexible shifts. All candidates must be able to work weekends, holidays, and nights.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. Hotel luxury environment preferred.
  • Effective communication, organization, attention to detail and problem- solving skills.
  • Previous sales experience is required.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules that often include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on a team and in a goal-oriented environment.
  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, staff, and co-workers to their understanding.
  • High aptitude for computer programs.
  • Professional and cooperative demeanor.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.
  • Knowledge and execution of effective office organizational practices.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Implementing and adhering to Forbes Travel Guide Standards.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with hotel standards, policies, and procedures with self and staff.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.

  • Ability to follow processes and procedures set forth by Reservations Manager, Supervisors, and other hotel leadership.
  • Be able to be motivated and inspired as well as work as a team to ensure cohesiveness and consistency throughout department and hotel.
  • Ability to welcome training and coaching as deemed necessary by Reservations leadership.
  • Ability to focus attention on details.
  • Ability to develop strong, productive, professional relationships with internal and external guests.
  • Ability to exert physical effort in transporting equipment and perform job duties.

  • Ability to ensure security and confidentiality of guest and hotel information and materials.

  • Ability to practice detailed standardized accounting procedures to protect the assets of the hotel.

  • Always Be an ambassador to Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, in and outside of the workplace.
  • Ability to take initiative and work productively within any given period of time, unsupervised.  Should be able to work well under pressure.
  • Must be a team player, working well with other departments and coworkers.
  • Ability to speak coherently, primarily over the phone, while describing the details of the hotel and providing accurate reservation and hotel information.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and evenings if necessary.
  • Ability to go the extra mile, to provide extra attention in order to satisfy guests’ individual needs and wants.
  • Should be creative, innovative and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments; know how to ask for help when needed.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult guests and/or situations.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a AAA Five-Diamond, Forbes Five-Star property.
  • Previous experience with Opera Software is preferred.
  • College Graduate
  • Completion of additional hotel education/training courses
  • Fluent in foreign languages.
