About The Position

Voda Cleaning & Restoration is seeking an experienced Lead Restoration Technician / Crew Chief to manage and execute water mitigation, mold remediation, and fire/smoke restoration projects. This role is ideal for an experienced restoration professional who understands the science of drying, proper documentation for insurance claims, and how to lead restoration projects in the field. The ideal candidate can run jobs independently, lead small teams, communicate professionally with clients and adjusters, and keep projects moving forward without constant direction. Requirements

  • 2–5+ years restoration experience (water, mold, or fire)
  • Ability to run mitigation or remediation jobs independently
  • Strong understanding of drying principles and moisture monitoring
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs
  • Comfortable working in attics, crawlspaces, and various environments
  • Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • IICRC WRT required
  • Experience with drying equipment, truck mounts, moisture meters, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading small crews preferred
  • ASD and/or AMRT preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead restoration projects from start to finish including water mitigation, mold remediation, and fire/smoke cleanup
  • Manage other technicians on job sites
  • Ensure jobs are completed efficiently, safely, and according to industry standards
  • Maintain organized, professional job sites
  • Perform job assessments and moisture mapping
  • Develop drying strategies and determine proper equipment selection and placement
  • Set up and monitor drying equipment including air movers, dehumidifiers, and specialty systems
  • Maintain accurate job documentation required for insurance claims
  • Capture before, during, and after photos
  • Record moisture readings, drying logs, and equipment logs
  • Write clear job notes explaining work performed and drying progress
  • Perform and oversee restoration tasks including: Water extraction Structural drying Demolition of affected materials Mold remediation Containment and negative air setups HEPA filtration and air scrubbing Fire and smoke cleanup
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, property managers, and insurance adjusters
  • Explain the drying process and next steps to clients
  • Represent the company with professionalism and integrity
  • Ensure work complies with IICRC S500 and S520 standards
  • Maintain jobsite safety and proper PPE use
  • Protect customer property and maintain cleanliness
  • Participate in on-call rotation for emergency water damage response
