Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.
Active RBT certification required.
Minimum age 18 with a High School Diploma or GED.
Valid CA Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
CPR and First Aid certification.
Familiarity with crisis prevention/intervention techniques (CPI or equivalent).
Must pass a health screening and TB test.
Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required.

Responsibilities

Provide trauma-informed, person-centered care aligned with IBSPs, EIPs, and Wellness Plans.
Support residents with all ADLs (grooming, bathing, hygiene, meals, mobility).
Supervise community and recreational outings; ensure structured routines.
Mentor and train new staff, modeling professionalism and client-centered care.
Monitor staff performance, redirect as needed, and escalate concerns to administration.
Complete shift documentation: notes, Lead Reports, medication logs, and incident reports.
Track staff training and certifications.
Support audits, QA reviews, and compliance with Title 17, Title 22, and program design.
Use Nonviolent Crisis Intervention techniques to manage behavioral incidents (assaultive, SIB, property destruction, PICA, etc.).
