LEAD CERTIFIED THERAPEUTIC RECREATIONAL THERAPIST - Full-Time HAVENWYCK HOSPITAL (a UHS facility) Havenwyck Hospital s a Joint Commission-accredited and licensed psychiatric hospital, overlooking Lake Galloway in Auburn Hills, Michigan. For more information, please visit us at www.havenwyckhospital.com POSITION SUMMARY: The Lead CTRS is responsible for provision of Recreational Therapy services, including assessments, treatment planning, therapeutic activity interventions and discharge leisure planning. The Lead CTRS utilizes individual and/or group activity interventions to bring about positive changes in the client’s behavior, be-in cognitive, social, emotional or physical. The Lead CTRS educates the client in healthy coping skills, and available leisure resources to continue the client in post-discharge leisure planning and involvement. The Lead CTRS will be responsible for the provision of services according to the current standards of practice. Requirements

  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) required.
  • Bachelor Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from an approved program required.
  • Certification by National Certification Board (NCTRC) required.
  • Two (2) years clinical experience required; psychiatric experience preferred.
  • Employee must be in good standing (evaluation/employment history, corrective action, etc.) to be considered for internal transfer.
