About The Position

Position Responsibilities Essential Responsibilities Promotes client involvement in clinical programming, performs routine forms of daily client care and ensures clinical activities and charting is performed in a timely and effective manner. Trains new RCS team members as assigned ensuring the RCS team are aware of and following all policies and procedures.Collaborates with the Milieu Director to ensure RCS team members provide appropriate emotional support to clients, within therapeutic boundaries. Provides direct client care throughout scheduled activities and leisure time. Facilitates and maintains RCS lead groups, mentors RCS team members in group facilitation practices. Communicates pertinent client information to the appropriate clinical/medical team members and Milieu Director. Maintains timely and clinically appropriate documentation, ensures RCS team members are trained on and comply with documentation practices. Observes client behavior during and after meals, mentors and coaches RCS team members on meal support practices. Leads in the timely completion of administrative duties, including navigating schedule concerns and completing training checklists with new hires. Coordinates shifts, assisting to ensure that all milieus are staffed at appropriate levels. Ensures client rounding and safety checks are completed according to clinical criteria; performs rounding throughout the shift ensuring team members receive rest and meal breaks in compliance with staffing plans and employment law. Provides coaching and guidance to RCS team members as needed in collaboration with the Milieu Director. Maintains a strong presence within the milieu throughout scheduled shifts. Additional Responsibilities Assists in promoting and ensuring that the mission, goals and objectives are understood and actively supported by the employees. Consistently arrives to work on time, rarely missing scheduled shifts, and promptly notifies supervisor when absent. Reads, understands, adheres to, and models all company policy statements on ethics, conduct, and conflict of interests; Adheres to facility policies, procedures, rules, and regulations, implementing regularly. Participates in on-call rotation, as needed. Maintains a positive attitude and acts as a team player with others on the treatment team. Attends and completes all training within assigned time frames as required by the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and minimum of 1 year experience in a similar position.
  • Position requires incumbent to have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Clearance of criminal background, TB test, and any other mandatory state/federal requirements.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and ability to and maintain professional boundaries.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of rules/limits of client confidentiality and maintains appropriate levels of client confidentiality/privacy.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of identifying abuse/neglect in client population.
  • Demonstrates behavior that promotes positive customer relations with clients, staff, and visitors.
  • Contributes to continuous quality improvement – can identify performance improvement processes and verbalize role in the process.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of and adherence to universal precautions, infection control and proper handwashing.
  • Demonstrates proper procedures in responding to emergency and safety drills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to recognize and respond to aggressive behavior and employ crisis intervention techniques.
  • Demonstrates ability to perform CPR and first aid.
  • Demonstrates ability to observe, supervise, evaluate, and document client behaviors in groups and planned activities.
