About The Position

Qualifications: 1. High School Diploma or GED 2. 2-3 years related experience required Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Greets all incoming visitors to front office 2. Answers and directs all incoming calls 3. Retrieves voice mail from main line 4. Distributes messages in a timely manner 5. Sorts and distributes daily mail delivery 6. Maintains voice mail system for school ensuring that all recorded messages are kept up to date 7. Maintains sign out log for all students 8. Verifies emergency card for students being signed out and places calls when necessary 9. Follows all safety precautions when releasing students 10. Prepares list of students who have signed out and forwards to Attendance Clerk by end of each day 11. Maintains visitor's sign in log 12. Familiar with DISTRICT/STATE DATABASE panels in locating student schedules 13. Maintains confidentiality in all circumstance regarding student information 14. Forwards returned student mail to registrar for updating in DISTRICT/STATE DATABASE data base 15. Enforces sign out policy, notifying administrator of abuses in policy 16. Maintains updated reference log (Hotel Book) containing miscellaneous school information 17. Maintains clean and neat appearance of front office reception area 18. Maintains and updates all bulletin boards located in reception area 19. Ensures that most current handouts are available in reception area trays 20. Maintains updated school forms, Newsletters and miscellaneous information for distribution when requested 21. Answers incoming calls from intercom system 22. Delivers intercom messages as requested by Administrators 23. Assists with the preparation of information to be read for morning announcements each day 24. Responds to allowing entry to visitors 25. Keeps current with all major school events. 26. Responsible for mailing of Report Cards and other mass mailings directed to assigned class 27. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as the Director/Principal may from time-to-time assign. 28. Manage all ID, bus, and staff badges 29. Issue elevator, hall, and bathroom passes. 30. Pre badge, coordinate, and track volunteer status in Raptor 31. Handle new student ID pictures 32. Create teacher door signs and photo badges
