About The Position

The Lead Receiving Clerk is responsible for overseeing the proper receiving, storage, and distribution of all resort supplies. This role ensures accuracy, organization, and compliance with company standards while supporting daily operations and guiding receiving staff to maintain efficiency and accountability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned) Lead and coordinate daily receiving and storeroom operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all incoming shipments. Use hand trucks or other equipment to move, convey, or hoist shipments from receiving platforms to storage or work areas. Ensure proper rotation, pricing, labeling, and storage of all incoming merchandise. Accurately issue storeroom merchandise to all departments while maintaining proper documentation. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and sanitation standards in all storerooms, freezers, and coolers. Enforce and monitor security procedures within all storage areas. Assist with and help coordinate inventory counts and audits. Oversee receiving and processing of all hotel packages. Review, secure, and forward all invoices to the Purchasing Manager in a timely manner. Ensure all authorized requisitions are properly filled, documented, and secured. Communicate effectively with department managers regarding storage needs, discrepancies, or issues with requisitions. Identify, document, and report problems, shortages, or inconsistencies to the Purchasing Manager. Train, support, and provide guidance to Receiving Clerks to ensure adherence to procedures and productivity standards. Ensure compliance with all sanitation, safety, and company policies and guidelines. Support other departments and assist receiving team members as needed.
