About The Position

As a Quality Engineer for GE Aerospace you will be part of a team that manufactures Ceramic Matrix Composites CMC, the only manufacturers in the world. This is a great opportunity to work with cutting edge technology. GE Aerospace is the world leader in providing aircraft engines, systems and avionics. ​Roles and Responsibilities Quality engineers do a variety of activities at each step of the processes, to include investigating non-conformances. You are the last to see it before the materials ship. Use your critical problem solving skills to see and identify solutions in the process. Verify conformance to specification by measuring and testing during in-house manufacturing. Perform incoming goods control, product inspections, witness points to control quality for items from external suppliers. Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of quality experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of quality engineering experience in aviation
  • This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
