About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Quality Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in one of the following relevant fields of study: Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in: Engineering Computer Science Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Mathematics Physics Chemistry
• 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
• 5+ years of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation
• 5+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
• 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods
• This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Responsibilities

• Advises others in the preparation of significant bids and proposals
• Authors Quality plans for major programs
• Advises suppliers and business partners in the development of their Quality plans to ensure the flow down of requirements
• Consults at the business unit level to develop Quality criteria for supplier selection
• Oversee the development of methods, procedures and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices for large programs and derivatives
• Leads verification reviews to ensure adequate surveillance to validate product and process Quality requirements
• Develops new methods for conducting product and process validation
• Represents Quality in design reviews of the inter-relationship of multiple systems
• Advises on development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness
• Performs benchmarking of enterprise best practices
• Leads cross-functional continuous Quality improvement efforts
• Develops new applications for advanced statistical methods
• Works under consultative direction

• Summary pay range: Lead Quality Engineer (Level 5): $149,600 - $202,400
