The Lead QA Analyst of Salesforce is responsible for assigning resources to scrum teams, coaching, training, and mentoring QA engineers, and ensuring quality standards are met across the team. This role involves planning the entire testing process, managing resource availability for testing activities, preparing status reports, sharing updates with project managers, and planning pre and post-test meetings. Requirements

  • Minimum 10+ years of software quality experience in a fast-paced environment, working through all phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Expert in Automation, Blackbox testing, White box testing, Performance testing, etc.
  • Strong experience with Salesforce.
  • Experience developing test automation frameworks.
  • Strong experience in SaaS/Cloud applications.
  • Experience overall DevOps/CID.
  • Experience in using various test execution, defect reporting tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to influence Senior leaders across the organization.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, and the ability to distinguish between standard vs custom features.
  • Write complex SQL Queries for test validation purposes.
  • Ability to provide accurate project estimates and timelines.
  • Proven test experience of complex, multi technology platforms and systems.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Expert level knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working with Kanban and/or Scrum Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to interact with other departments and business users who are not as technical in nature.
  • High degree of self-motivation to learn new methodologies/technologies that will enhance job performance.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Admin or CPQ certification.
  • Hands on experience developing automated tests using selenium/Provar.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with other applications/systems is a plus.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool.
  • Web services testing (Rest/Soap).
  • Use of other testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Test planning and test execution of Salesforce Apps, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Salesforce integrations and Lighting.
  • Analyze requirements, design documents and use cases in order develop, modify and execute test plans, scenarios, and cases to ensure functional requirements have been satisfied.
  • Define, build, modify and execute automated tests for regression test coverage of business process testing, utilizing tools such as Provar, Selenium and UFT.
  • Adheres to best practices in testing and automation while continuing to improve the quality and productivity of our testing practices.
  • Ability to manage defect reporting and test execution tracking utilizing tools such as Jira, Test Rail, ALM, Agile Accelerator, etc.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, leads, PMs and other members of the team to ensure quality throughout the development cycle and appropriate implementation of business requirements.
  • Maintain documentation of test results and execution status to communicate to IT stakeholders (PM, BA, Dev, Service Manager and Service Team Lead).
  • Track quality assurance metrics such as test execution %, first time pass rate, defect densities, etc.
  • Stay current on progressive technologies/self-motivation to learn new methodologies and techniques that will enhance job performance.
  • Assume a mentoring role for other testers, building the skills of less experienced team members.
  • Anticipates cross-functional business and Testing issues; solves high complex testing issues affecting the function; recommends new and innovative products, processes or services.
  • Leads multi-disciplinary test planning initiatives with notable risk, complexity, and impact.
  • Functions as a very high-level resource and can develop End to End test scenarios cases across services areas, workstream and applications.
  • Anticipates cross-functional business and IT testing issues.
  • Provides thought leadership in area(s) of expertise.
  • Proactively suggesting and seeks process improvements.
  • Solves highly complex issues affecting by applying expertise and ingenuity to innovate and create solutions.
  • Provides expertise/advice toward setting strategy, goals, and policies, as well as furthering major projects and initiatives.
  • Communicates highly conceptual ideas, negotiates, and influences others.
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders and serves as trusted expert.
  • Conduct peer reviews of testing deliverables to ensure best practices are followed and testing standards are met.
  • Help in conceptualizing the quality architecture.
