The Role The Lead Program/Project Manager supports and drives end-to-end project and program execution, ensuring delivery aligns with defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations. This role coordinates resources across cross-functional teams, applies industry-standard project/program management methodologies, and provides clear, actionable reporting to stakeholders. The Lead Program/Project Manager is recognized as an experienced practitioner who leads significant initiatives with autonomy, proactively manages risks and dependencies, and influences decisions through strong execution, communication, and problem-solving. Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive project and/or program management experience, managing cross-functional initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies in complex environments
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-level status reporting
  • Proficiency with common project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Asana, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience
  • Project/program management certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum) as required/appropriate in some areas
  • Experience working with vendors and contract-driven deliverables
  • Experience with Agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery approaches

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project / Program Execution Lead and support projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring outcomes are delivered on time, within budget, and to defined quality standards. Drive execution discipline across workstreams, ensuring adherence to governance, milestones, and decision-making processes. Develop and maintain project documentation, including charters, scope statements, RAID logs, and implementation/runbooks as needed.
  • Planning, Scheduling & Delivery Management Build and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resource forecasts to guide execution and monitor progress against objectives. Define deliverables, milestones, and acceptance criteria; ensure alignment across teams and partners. Track dependencies and critical path activities; escalate issues and recommend tradeoffs to keep delivery on track.
  • Stakeholder, Client & Vendor Management Maintain regular communication with stakeholders, clients, and vendors—providing status updates, facilitating meetings, and managing expectations. Prepare executive-ready updates that clearly articulate progress, risks, budget/schedule status, and key decisions needed. Coordinate vendor activities and deliverables to ensure alignment to project goals and timelines (as applicable).
  • Quality Assurance, Risk & Issue Management Promote adherence to quality standards by reviewing deliverables and ensuring outcomes meet requirements. Proactively identify, analyze, and mitigate risks and issues; maintain a clear RAID log and drive ownership and resolution. Implement lessons learned and continuous improvement actions to strengthen delivery performance over time.
  • Resource Management, Reporting & Performance Insights Support resource coordination and capacity planning across project teams; ensure roles and responsibilities are clear and staffed appropriately. Develop and maintain reporting dashboards and metrics (e.g., schedule performance, cost tracking, milestone health, and delivery KPIs). Use data analysis to identify trends, surface delivery risks early, and recommend improvements to project/program management practices.
  • Coaching & Enablement (as applicable) Mentor and support less experienced project managers and team members through guidance on planning, execution, and stakeholder management. Contribute to standard templates, tools, and best practices to improve consistency and scalability.
