About The Position

Works with supervision in providing direction to employees in assigned work areas. Monitors recording charts and machinery in all areas of the line and adjusts settings as specified by a supervisor, while working with operators to ensure continuity of the process. Maintaining desired attributes of finished product through maximum utilization of the raw material.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
  • Estimates raw product in receiving.
  • Controls line flows and blend rates as specified by a supervisor, in conjunction with the operator.
  • Communicates to and assists operators with product cut changes.
  • Monitors assigned production charts and processing equipment and makes adjustments as authorized.
  • Provides cleaning chemicals to sanitation crew and monitors sanitation in specified areas.
  • Collects data at end of shift for supervisory reports.
  • Makes constant walk-through of the area.
  • Shuts line down as necessary, notifies mechanics of problem areas and records downtime.
  • Monitors and encourages personnel to ensure good manufacturing practice.
  • Provides operators with change information.
  • Monitors proper use of safety equipment used by employees.
  • Position is required to give days off to Process Supervisor.
  • Evaluates and tests the performance of production trainees after 30, 60, and 90 days.
  • Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
  • Communicates any problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
  • Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
  • Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
  • Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
  • Participates in continuous improvement process
  • Must adhere to the McCain Code of Conduct.
  • The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety- (90) days of employment.
