About The Position

Hamilton Company is seeking a Lead Production Operator to assemble precision medical and laboratory devices. We are looking for those with the ability to work accurately and be able to follow schematics and instructions precisely. This assembler position requires excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work with small components and hand tools. Production Operators will need a keen eye for detail and quality while working in a fast paced environment. Lead Production Operator responsibilities include: Delegating work to team members based on priorities to meet business targets. Problem solves small issues to ensure production output is maintained and escalate to production management as necessary. Communicate daily outputs, part shortages, and production blockers to ensure production flow is maintained. Performing in process and final inspections to ensure quality of product. Perform Inventory transactions such as initial kitting, replacement part kitting, WO closure to ensure parts are properly traced and accounted for. Communicate production needs to Manufacturing Engineering to influence process improvements to increase efficiency and manufacturing friendliness. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to work accurately in a fast paced environment to meet quality and quantity quotas
  • Experience using diagrams or blueprints, and follow other written or verbal instructions
  • Mechanically inclined with good dexterity - able to use both hand and power tools
  • Able to quality check finished product and send unsatisfactory items to rework
  • Proven experience with safe production practices
  • Stable work history
  • Basic math required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
  • Requires excellent manual dexterity, ability to work with small components and hand tools, and a keen eye for detail and quality
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of four years of experience in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must pass drug and background screens.
  • May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (provided by employer).
