About The Position

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Product Manager to support the Platform Transformation Payments Execution team, driving strategic execution and product enablement across the Global Payments & Liquidity, Product & Platform organization. This team is focused on expanding core payments products, enhancing pricing discipline for deposits and fees, and modernizing payments platforms and architecture to build robust payment ecosystems. This role leads Payments Execution initiatives by translating enterprise transformation objectives into executable delivery plans and measurable outcomes. The Payments Execution Lead drives end‑to-end execution across complex, cross‑functional payment programs—ensuring alignment between business priorities, delivery milestones, technology enablement, and operational readiness. The role partners closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Delivery teams to coordinate execution, manage dependencies, and resolve issues across multiple workstreams. Success in this role requires strong execution discipline, structured problem‑solving, and the ability to navigate complex delivery environments while maintaining momentum against strategic goals. Requirements

  • 5+ years of Product Management, product owner, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Experience executing payments transformation initiatives within large, complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of payments platforms, messaging flows, and end‑to-end payment lifecycles.
  • Proven ability to identify, document, and manage business‑critical and regulatory requirements, including execution artifacts and traceability.
  • Experience supporting or executing large‑scale transformation or migration programs.
  • Familiarity with payment rails and messaging platforms such as FedWire, ACH, FedNow, RTP, CHIPS, SWIFT, MT‑to‑MX, and ISO 20022.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in PowerPoint and storytelling.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities, with keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in synthesizing and simplifying complex information from diverse stakeholders.
  • Customer-centric mindset, with the ability to think end-to-end, take initiative, and independently track and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to-end execution of complex Payments transformation initiatives, including planning, prioritization, dependency management, execution tracking, and delivery oversight.
  • Align payments execution plans to enterprise transformation goals, industry standards, and internal architecture strategies, ensuring consistency across initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross‑functional dependencies across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and external partners to enable integrated delivery.
  • Communicate complex business and execution requirements clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Actively participate in planning and delivery forums (e.g., PI planning, release planning, execution reviews) to ensure delivery alignment and readiness.
  • Identify execution risks, gaps, and constraints, and proactively drive resolution, escalation, or trade‑off decisions.
  • Recommend opportunities to improve execution efficiency, delivery approach, and process or technology enablement in support of payments outcomes.
