Experience Design at Wells Fargo: We’re on a mission to build the best digital experience delivering customer joy in the financial space. As part of the Experience Design (XD) team at Wells Fargo, you’ll be fueled by exceptional thought leadership, subject matter experts and world-class talent. This is an XD Lead Product Designer role for Consumer Digital Channels. Our team designs experiences that people love and confidently engage to improve their financial lives. We work closely with Technology and Product Management to ensure we are problem-driven (versus solution) and customer-first. While we have individual expertise across product design, research, content strategy, and design operations, we all operate as empowered leaders with strong design rationale. As a team, we care about each other yet believe in radical candor, want to have fun while we work, and are obsessed with what’s most important to our 30+ million customers and incorporating their voices into every decision!

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Online and Digital Product Design, Information Sciences, Graphic, and Visual Arts experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience designing UX and UI in Figma
  • Exceptional visual design skills showcasing your ability to solve for complex problems in a delightful way
  • Comfort presenting to all levels of seniority
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to shape and drive work independently
  • Understanding of front-end development fundamentals (HTML/CSS concepts, responsive design) to facilitate cross-functional partnership and tech-informed designs
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn and adapt as AI and emerging capabilities reshape how we design products
  • Ability to clearly articulate a strong design rationale; storytelling skills that compel stakeholders
  • Experience with customer facing content design

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex initiatives including those that provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams
  • Develop and execute customer experience solutions for Wells Fargo's app and website
  • Apply emerging AI‑enhanced workflows to accelerate ideation, execution, and quality of design output
  • Oversee the execution of projects that influence design and strategic direction of the company
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Serve as design advocate with the ability to forecast and assess industry trends and their impact on the company's product design alternatives
  • Provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams
  • Lead customer experience strategy for platforms and products
  • Influence roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience considerations and participate in roadmap planning and virtual teams
  • Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
